CAVEBASE & FRIENDS Meeting 14. Sept. 2019

This year our Cavebase & Friends meeting took place in the mine Felicitas at Wolfgang Röhr. Early in the morning our board started with a small welcoming speech. Afterwards we had great dives in the mine and had exciting conversations. Around 11 o'clock the first lecture of the day started. Oliver Steinle presented the T-Reb Sidemount-Rebreather. Afterwards, you could gather some strength while enjoying the delicacies from the grill. In the 2nd lecture of the day Axel Söhngen introduced the Divesoft Liberty both in the backmount and sidemount version. The technical lectures were rounded off by 2 self-made projects by Hannes Danmayr and Moritz Lutz. Both built sidemount rebreathers in the old do-it-yourself manner and explained the ideas behind them.

Of course we also presented our configuration and explained why we dive like this.

In the evening there was a small premiere. Wilke once again conjured up a great film from our footage of this year's Castor project. After a short talk about the project this video was presented afterwards.

Afterwards our Wilke had the last lecture of the evening. This lecture was very thought provoking and fascinated the audience.

The day was rounded off with a cosy get-together, some barbecue and a beer or two.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all visitors and speakers for the successful day. Special thanks to Wolfgang Röhr and his team from Felicitas colliery, who made their location available to us.

Thomas Rick was busy with his camera on this day and collected some impressions of the meeting. Many thanks for the video.
